A bit of both? Of the next eight or so books I have planned out one is a novel and another a novella. That said, some of the stories I plan to include in future anthologies will be long enough to count as either a novella or a novel in their own right. (In addition to anthologies and the aforementioned novel + novella I also have in the works an artbook and two pseudo-histories for lack of a better term.)
Beyond that, I have ideas for comics/graphic novels and even film/television but those are much less likely to see the light of day for obvious reasons unfortunately.
Oh yes, I cordially agree, James. So many of my very first teenage comics stories ended unfinished after 2 or 3 pages, I took a bite too big for me to swallow then. I switched my pace later and progress was made. And I am still in comics, so I can confirm this marathon approach works.
Thank you for this article, it charged me up for other activities too :)
As a short story author, I appreciate what you wrote. Thanks, James.
Great to hear, Anas. Are you planning to continue writing shorts? Or is the plan to move on to novels?

Glad to hear you're still in comics and figured it out for yourself. Far too many aspiring writers flounder from their lofty goals.
